With a comprehensive range of further training and continuing education, the Children’s Hospice Academy Sternenbrücke addresses paediatricians, health and (children's) nurses, as well as staff from the psychosocial field.
The training of volunteers in the children's hospice, partnerships with nursing schools and seminars for affected parents and family members are also integrated into the Academy.
The purpose of the Academy is to provide the best possible networking of all stakeholders, foster mutual understanding of the specific situations
in their respective work areas, and thus improve the care of young people with terminal illnesses and their families.
For the most part, the programmes of the Academy take place in the extension of the Children's Hospice Sternenbrücke. This space, which was newly created in April 2010, comprises three seminar rooms of different sizes and meets all technical and spatial requirements to carry out training sessions, one-day workshops and further training under the roof of Sternenbrücke, yet detached from the everyday demands of care.
We hope that you will find our further training and continuing education programmes interesting, and we would be delighted to welcome you to our Academy.
